Semis Have Gone 200,000 Miles Without an Oil Change
Danny Howell, Director of Maintenance for Dallas Carriers Corp. in Rockwell, Texas, conducted a demonstration in which semis were installed bumper-to-bumper with AMSOIL LUBRICANTS. AMSOIL 15W-40 Diesel Engine Oil was used in the engines, and AMSOIL Synthetic 85W-140 Gear Lube was installed in the transmissions, rear ends and the power train. Periodic oil analysis determined AMSOIL15W-40 was serviceable after 200,000 miles and the engines had minimal wear. AMSOIL 85W-140 was also still serviceable in the transmissions after 200,000 miles. Howell reported that both the rear ends and transmissions operated like new with AMSOIL 85W-140.From: Testimonials Volume VIII.
David A. Zgrabik of Cleveland, Ohio, owns a guide service and is also a tournament angler. His success depends on the reliability of his equipment. He says he has always used quality oils, but has never seen the performance and sheer benefits from other products like he has seen from the AMSOIL product lineup. "After starting to run AMSOIL Series 2000 2-Cycle Racing Oil, I noticed considerably less smoke at start-up, improved idling and more power," David said. " even have an unexplainable 200 rpm increase!"
David's tow vehicle is another important part of his business. "I travel all over when I'm fishing and doing other promotional work," David said. "After installing AMSOIL engine oil and an AMSOIL filter, I noticed a 10-15 degree temperature drop while the engine was operating. I was just amazed at how well it was working. There was also an increase in fuel mileage. There is no way I would do without my AMSOIL motor oil now!"
Patrick J. Osmer has been racing since 1995. He was born in 1992.
"My dad bought me a motorcycle when I was three and a half years old," said Patrick. "I had to start with training wheels first."
PJ began racing with the Fresno Motorcycle Club. He won the Participation with Skill Improvement award from 1995 to 1997. In 1998 and 1999 Patrick was the Fresno Motorcycle Club Series Champion in 50cc series stock class. In 1999 he was also the Chowchilla RS Racing Series Champion in 50cc class. In 2000 Patrick was Fresno Motorcycle Club Series Champion in 50cc modified class, Madera RS Racing Series Champion in 50cc modified and 0-8 65cc class, and he took first place in District 36 at Livermore Motorcycle Park.
And While PJ sets out to win every race, there's more to be gained from the experience.
It is fun," said Patrick. "I have made a lot of new friends and all of my family goes to the races."
PJ has also gained valuable experience talking with other racers like AMSOIL's own motocross star Mike LaRocco.
"He is a good racer and he does not give up." said Patrick. "I met him in Anaheim. He is very nice."
PJ says his favorite AMSOIL product is the Series 2000 2-Cycle Motor Oil he uses in both his bikes. He has always enjoyed riding his 50cc bike but has moved up to a 65cc bike. With a larger bike, PJ says he can go more places when he rides with his dad. He also says he is learning a lot more on his 65cc bike.
Patrick likes to stay focused on the task at hand. He says his plans include "racing motocross and dirt track for now."
"I want to thank AMSOIL for all the support," said PJ. "All the people who see my bike with the AMSOIL stickers think it looks like Mike LaRocco's. I feel happy and very lucky that my bike looks like that. Some of my racing friends have started using AMSOIL Series 2000 2-Cycle Oil. I hope to continue sharing my racing career with AMSOIL."
Patrick's parents, Pat and Maria, began using AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle 100:1 Pre-mix Oil in his bike and saw how effective it was. When they saw AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 2-Cycle Racing Oil they switched over immediately. The oil has done so well for them, that their mechanic, Tom Batista of B&B Racing, is talking about the quality of AMSOIL two-cycle oil to all of his customers.
AMSOIL Helps Set New World Record For Motorcycles. Ron Krol's 1100cc Suzuki 7.38 Seconds At 180+ mph!
AMSOIL synthetics and Rex Shobe's Oldsmobile are a winning combination. Rex is a Dealer in Kimberly, Idaho. He got into AMSOIL products mainly for his 1976 Oldsmobile drag racer. Rex put AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 in his 5-year old 485 horsepower 455 engine prior to a race in 1999. Rex's car ran an elapsed time of 7.62 at 87 mph in the eighth mile and a 12.32 elapsed time at 107 mph on the quarter mile which earned him two wins. "After putting AMSOIL in the engine we found an oil pressure gain," Rex said. "Elapsed times picked up a little after several runs once the oil got worked in."
Rex also uses AMSOIL Series 2000 racing grease in the U-joints and front wheel bearings. "I am still using the parts I had in the car 4 years ago when I started using the grease," Rex said. With the Series 2000 75W/90 Gear Lube, Rex is averaging 2 years per gear set. "After seeing what AMSOIL products have done for my race car," Rex said, "I am starting to sell more of it and plan on selling the 2000 racing products at each track I go to."
On September 26, 1988, Ron Krol of Garfield Heights, Ohio used AMSOIL SYNTHETIC OIL at the ATCO race track in New Jersey to accomplish the unimaginable: he raced his naturally-aspirated (carbureted) 1100cc 16-valve Suzuki drag bike in the funny bike class. This class usually uses turbo-chargers and nitrous oxide Fuel!Ron and his AMSOIL-ized motorcycle didn't win at ATCO, their first ever national drag bike event (although he did make it to the semifinals). What Ron did do was set a new world record for carbureted motorcycles - 7.38 seconds elapsed time average quarter mile course! That's 180 + mph! Ron's bike also won Best Engineered Bike and Best Appearing Bike at ATCO.Ron owns and operates Krol Cycle, a high performance motorcycle parts and service shop. He is a factory representative for a major piston company and an AMSOIL Retail Account. Ron has been working on motorcycles for over fifteen years. So when Ron says "I know what works and what doesn't," most people listen. There is "no doubt" in his mind that "all the 'top dogs' in racing use synthetic oil, no matter what the logo says on the car or bike."Based on dynamometer tests on engines in his shop, Ron figures motorcycles gain "at least a couple of horsepower" using synthetic oil over petroleum. "There's no comparison," he says.Petroleum oils begin to break down and degrade almost immediately at these temperatures. The shortcomings of non-synthetic oils are especially obvious in drag bike racing, where the heat, high RPMs and pressures are magnified many times over a very short period (remember that Ron set his world record in 7.38 seconds). It's no wonder petroleum oils only wet an engines "appetite" for expensive engine parts! But using AMSOIL 20W-50 SYNTHETIC RACING OIL removed camshafts and rocker arms from Ron's engine's diets! Ron is convinced: "synthetic oils give more protection......they don't break down like petroleum oils."

Gene Deputy, President of TEXAS TURBO ENGINEERING, Inc. designs and builds racing engines. He is also an excellent drag racer. For the extra edge he needs to win, Gene uses AMSOIL SYNTHETIC LUBRICANTS in all his race cars. The Mustang GT is also used for street driving, as the power seats, door locks, electric windows and stereo system are still intact. A real crowd pleaser, Gene's car has been in several magazines. Including Hot Rod, however, to keep the Mustang GT running at its competitive peak, Gene relies on AMSOIL LUBRICANTS.
TEXAS TURBO Dragster Sets Record With AMSOIL. 10.43 Seconds At 130 MPH In A 1/4 Mile!
"I always like to rely on the judgment of my engine builders, and they all believe in AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants. With the heat and high rpms that racing boat engines must endure, AMSOIL gives the best lubrication. A boater who doesn't use a high-quality synthetic motor oil like AMSOIL is dollar-foolish." From world championship racing boats to weekend fishing boats, AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants provide the same power, performance and superior long-lasting protection.
Prototype of Perkins M-2 Uses AMSOIL
$125,000 Proposed Retail Price Exotic Car Uses AMSOIL Synthetic Oil Michael Perkins, founder of Perkins Engineering, Inc., of Austin, Texas, has recently finished the prototype of the Perkins M-2 of "Texas Exotic" sports car. The prototype is lubricated entirely with AMSOIL Lubricants. The Perkins M-2 weighs approximately 2,200 lbs. And has a five-speed transmission. It has a SHO V-6 engine, with four cams, 24 valves, and either 245 or 300 horsepower, depending on the configuration. To keep this expensive equipment in top running condition , Michael decided that the Perkins M-2 will include AMSOIL Lubricants.Michael explained, "No question in the minds of people in the know that synthetic lubricants are today's answer to improved drive train protection, improved performance, reduced maintenance, and less pollution.AMSOIL is an obvious leader in the industry! The Perkins M-2, with the proposed retail price of $125,000, is an exotic car designed for successful people who, generally, are over 6 feet tall.Michael Perkins is living his dream by designing and building the Perkins M-2, and AMSOIL is grateful in helping him make his dream into a reality."Perkins Engineering is proud to offer the M-2 to America and also proud to include AMSOIL advanced product technology as part of this automobile's original equipment," Perkins said.
Peter Finnerty, New York - talking about his1950 Allis-Chalmers Tractor (sent in pictures) you folks should see this. It's been 17 years since the valve cover was taken off, and all this time I uchanging the oil and filter once each year. I'm not sure of the hours involved: I estimate 60 to 80 hours per year with field mowing in the summer and snowplowing in the winter. When we opened the engine a few weeks ago and saw how clean it was, I thought I should leave it open and just show folks, but then I would need another tractor! I couldn't justify another "toy."
Gil Dodgen, Garden Grove, California "I just thought I'd drop you a note to tell you how great AMSOIL has worked for me. I put the 10W-40 in my '79 Honda Civic at 5,000 miles. The car was going 5,000 miles on a quart of oil at that time. I've changed the oil at 25,000 and the filter at 12,500 as recommended (I even got lazy once and changed the oil at almost 30,000 miles.) Now, with 135,000 miles on the car, the little Honda still goes.... and I still get 5,000 miles on a quart of oil! It would appear that the engine has not worn significantly. At this rate I'll get a half million miles out of the car. I just put your oil in my new Toyota at 6,000 miles and the mileage jumped 3 miles per gallon -- a 10% increase.I can't understand why everyone doesn't use this fantastic product."
Dennis Wright, Dennis Wright Farms, Albany, Ga. Dennis was amazed that on his John Deer Irrigation engine (normal oil change every 100 hours) he was able to extend his oil change beyond 600 hours with AMSOIL AME15W-40 and AMSOIL By-Pass Filters. Oil anaylsis taken at 600 hours showed NO BREAK-DOWN of the oil, very low wear metals and 8.6 acidity. His comment was that he was amazed that even in the hottest of our summer (103 degrees) that engine did not overheat!
NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK AT IT... IT MAKES SENSE TO USE THE VERY BEST... AND THAT IS AMSOIL!
